Platte River Bridge Train Wreck Scene from documentary, St. Joseph, Days of Civil War.

This was the highlight scene of the Scout pictures documentary when, on September3rd, 1861, terrorists burned the supports of the Platte River bridge east of St. Joseph, Missouri. It was thought the train was carrying Union troops when it was mostly civilians. The bridge buckled sending the train into the river killing many and injuring over a hundred including women and children.
