The Robidoux Hotel in St. Joseph, Missouri was named for the city’s founder Joseph Robidoux. Designed by the architectural firm of Eames & Young of St. Louis, The Robidoux was completed and opened in 1908 at the NW corner of 5th and Francis Streets. The nine-story hotel, with its 250 rooms and elegant public spaces set the standard for opulence and luxury in the first half of the Twentieth Century. It was demolished in 1976. These photos, taken in 1918, show the hotel in its prime.
